Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 27 April 2026
These terms govern your use of thejunglesafari.com and any booking made with The Jungle Safari (sole proprietorship of Varun Chopra, Udyam Registration UDYAM-PB-17-0060744, GSTIN 03ADIPC6315R1ZG). They are written in plain language. If anything is unclear, please ask before booking.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry, accepting a quote, or making a payment to us, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to be bound by them. If you are booking on behalf of others (family, friends, or a group), you confirm that they have also been informed of these terms.
2. Scope of Services
What we do: we assemble wildlife itineraries, submit Forest Department permit applications on your behalf, book lodges and ground transport, arrange guides, and coordinate logistics during your trip.
What we do not do: we are not the park authority, we do not operate the lodges or resorts you stay at, and we do not issue permits ourselves. Permits are issued by the relevant state Forest Department; lodges and transport providers are independent businesses we coordinate with as suppliers.
3. Booking Process
Our standard flow is enquiry, quote, advance payment, confirmation, balance payment, and departure. The full step-by-step is on the How Booking and Payment Work page.
4. Payment Terms
Payments are accepted to our HDFC Bank current account (account details are shared at booking confirmation, not published on this site for security) and, where applicable, via a payment link we send. Currency is INR for guests in India and USD, EUR, or GBP equivalent for international guests, as agreed in your quote.
An advance of [TODO: percentage to be confirmed]% is required at booking; the balance is due [TODO: number of days to be confirmed] days before departure. Your quote and confirmation will state the exact figures and dates that apply to your trip. GST is applicable on tour operator services per current Indian rates and will appear on your invoice with our GSTIN 03ADIPC6315R1ZG.
5. Pricing and Inclusions
Each itinerary quote lists exactly what is included and what is not. Park permit fees, lodge stays, in-park transport (jeep / canter / boat as applicable), and listed meals are typically included. Airfare to and from the gateway city, alcohol, personal expenses, tips, optional add-ons, and travel insurance are typically not included. The exact list of inclusions and exclusions is in the quote we send you.
6. Permits and Government Fees
Park entry permits and certain government fees are issued and priced by the relevant Forest Department. These fees are not refundable once a permit is issued. Permit allocation, including specific safari zones and time slots, is at the Forest Department's discretion. We submit applications based on your preference but cannot guarantee a specific zone.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations are subject to our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Park permit fees are not refundable once issued, and supplier-specific cancellation terms (lodges in particular) may apply over and above the standard tiers. The cancellation policy page sets out the timelines and refund amounts.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for trip disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control. These include natural disasters, weather events, government action, sudden park closures, vehicle breakdowns en route, illness in your party, airline disruption, civil unrest, and pandemic-related restrictions. Where possible we will reschedule or work with suppliers to minimise loss; where not, refunds are limited to the amounts we are able to recover from suppliers on your behalf.
9. Liability
We act as a coordinator between you and independent suppliers (lodges, transport providers, guides, the Forest Department). We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or service quality of those independent suppliers. We will, however, assist in good faith to resolve any issue that arises during your trip and follow up with the relevant supplier on your behalf. Our maximum liability for any claim arising from a trip is limited to the total amount paid to us for that trip.
10. Wildlife and Outdoor Activity Risk
Wildlife travel involves inherent risks, including animal encounters, terrain, weather, and remote-area medical access. By booking with us you accept these risks. We strongly recommend that all guests carry comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering the duration of the trip and the activities involved.
11. Personal Data
Personal information you share with us during enquiry and booking is handled per our Privacy Policy.
12. Modification of Services
Occasionally an itinerary may need to change due to lodge availability, weather, or Forest Department schedule changes. Where this happens, we will inform you in advance and offer comparable alternatives. If a comparable alternative is not acceptable, we will discuss the impact on pricing and refunds with you.
13. Modification of Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version of these terms in effect on the date of your booking applies to your booking; later updates do not change the terms of trips already confirmed.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from a booking with us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Patiala, Punjab.
15. Contact
For questions on these terms, or anything related to a booking, please reach out via the Contact page, by phone at +91 9878601010, or by email at booking@thejunglesafari.com.
